HSS 1000 Introduction to Health, Science & Society
This course introduces students to the multiple disciplines that influence individual health, health care and community health. Topics from the health sciences, natural sciences, social sciences and public health will be explored as they relate to the biological and social determinants of health. Students will discuss and examine the ways these fields define and approach both health and community equity and wellbeing - 4 lecture hours.
