NURS 3101 Pediatric Nursing

This course is devoted to the study of bio-psychosocial factors affecting the health and development of children and their families. The course involves the study of well-child principles as well as human responses to acute and chronic illness - 2.5 theory hours. Successful completion of all second semester. Successful completion of both the theory and clinical components of the course with a letter grade of ‘C+’ (2.3) or higher is necessary to pass the course. Prerequisites: Successful completion of Ethics course with a grade of 'C' (2.0) or higher, NURS 3030, NURS 3105/NURL 3105 and NURS 3106/NURL 3106. Concurrent enrollment in NURS 3103 is required.
