RNSG 1128. INTRODUCTION TO HEALTH CARE CONCEPTS (1-0-1) An introduction to concept-based learning with emphasis on selected pathophysiological concepts with nursing applications. Concepts include acid-base balance, elimination, fluid and electrolyte balance, genetics, immunity, infection, inflammation, gas exchange, perfusion, metabolism, coping and tissue integrity. Prerequisites: Admission to Nursing Program, BIOL 2401, 2402, ENGL 1301 and PSYC 2301. Corequisites/Concurrent: RNSG 1125, 1161, 1216, and 1430. For LVN to RN Transition Students: Corequisite/Concurrent: RNSG 1118, 1125, 1324. Assessment Levels: R3, E3, M3 51.3801

Prerequisite(s)

Must have a level 3 in Reading, English and Math. Admission to nursing program, BIOL 2401, BIOL 2402, ENGL 1301 and PSYC 2301.

Corequisite(s)

RNSG 1125, RNSG 1161, RNSG 1216, and RNSG 1430. For LVN to RN transition students: SPCH 1311, SPCH 1315 or SPCH 1321, RNSG 1118 and RNSG 1324.
