ENGT 1407 Digital Fundamentals
Course Information
Course Description
Analysis, design, and simulation of combinational and sequential systems using: classical Boolean algebra techniques, laboratory hardware experiments and computer simulation. Introduction to programmable logic devices (PLDs) and applicationspecific integrated circuits using software tool to the design and analysis of digital logic circuits and systems. Standard instrumentation used in testing digital circuits and systems will be introduced. Prerequisite: MATH 1314, College Algebra, or the equivalent. (This course is included in the Field of Study Curriculum for Engineering Technology.) Assessment Levels: R3, E2, M3.
Prerequisite(s)
Prerequisite: MATH 1314. A computer programming course such as COSC 1309, COSC 1436 OR ENGR 2304. Must level 3 in Reading and Math. Must have level 2 in English.
