Course Description

Overview of computer information systems. Introduces computer hardware, software, procedures, systems and human resources and explores their integration and application in business and other segments in society. The fundamentals of computer problem solving and programming in a higher level programming language may be discussed and applied. Overview of word processing, spreadsheets, database, Internet, e-mail and presentation graphics will be presented. Course is offered with a substantial lab component for non-computer majors to fulfill computer degree requirements at many upper-level universities. May be concurrently offered as an Internet course. Assessment Levels: R1, E1, M1.
