Academic Advisement

Columbus Technical College supports a comprehensive advisement system and considers it to be an integral part of the educational process by providing a continuing interaction between the academic advisors and the students in exploring life, career, and educational goals; selecting educational programs; and scheduling classes. Students should maintain communication with advisors throughout the period from admission to graduation. Students withdrawing from a course should discuss this decision with an advisor to ensure that they follow proper procedures and explore alternative solutions. Academic advisement may also be accomplished with a designated program director or faculty member.
