ECO 500 Senior Seminar
The senior seminar builds on student work in economics, finance, and in the liberal arts. Its primary purpose is reflection on economics as a discipline via a dialogue-seminar format and original research. This experience will provide significant opportunities to improve skills in economic and financial analysis, research, writing, and verbal expression. In addition to original research, each student will be asked to present and discuss findings from seminal articles and books in the fields of economics and finance. In this culminating course, students are expected to identify important questions, understand various methodologies, apply the analytical and empirical tools of economics and finance to seek answers resourcefully, and to disseminate credible results.
