Department Overview
The CCSU Department of Theatre offers BA and BFA degrees in Performance, Design/Tech and Applied Theatre. The Department produces 4 mainstage shows and a wide array of student and educational theatre pieces throughout the academic year. We also have many internship and study abroad opportunities available. Graduates find many opportunities to apply their education and training in the professional and educational theatre world as well as in related fields. Many also utilized the skills and tools they've acquired in a myriad of vocations such as business, counseling and social work, education, law and even politics. The education of Theatre students requires a comprehensive program of the practical application of technique and theory, plus personal awareness, in order to prepare them for productive participation in an increasingly diverse and multi-cultural world.
