Post-Graduate Certificate - Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist

AGCNS POST-GRADUATE CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS

Requirements for obtaining the AGCNS Post-graduate certificate are:

Successful completion of all course work (20 credits) with a B or higher grade in all graduate nursing courses.

Passing each clinical rotation with satisfactory evaluations from the clinical preceptor along with a completed Typhon clinical encounter database. A minimum of 540 clinical practicum hours must be completed. Upon admission, the student’s gap analysis will determine the number of hours matriculated into the PGC program from the past graduate program.

Upon completion of the didactic and practicum degree requirements, the graduate will be awarded the AGCNS Post-graduate Certificate and will be eligible to sit for national certification in their specialty area.
