Aviation Maintenance Technician-Powerplant, Technical Certificate of Credit

Length of Program: Three Semesters/Day
Credit Hours Required for Graduation: 50

Admission:

  • Attainment of 16 years of age;
  • Documentation of high school graduation or satisfaction of High School Equivalency Certificate requirements;
  • Achievement of minimum program admission scores on tests of reading, language, and math, or achievement of minimum provisional admission scores and recommendation by program faculty and designated admissions personnel on the basis of interview and assessment of student potential;
  • Completion of application and related procedures

Program Description: The Aviation Maintenance Technician-Powerplant program courses prepare students for employment in the field of aviation maintenance. The program emphasizes a combination of aircraft maintenance theory and aircraft maintenance application. This program meets the FAA academic requirements for the Mechanic-Powerplant certificate.
