GRN 7204 Therapeutic Modalities and Psychiatric Conditions Across the Lifespan

This course examines the application of evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions to support resilience and well-being in individuals with psychiatric mental health conditions. Students will explore individual therapies, group therapies, and brain stimulation treatments with emphasis on their use alone or in combination with pharmacotherapy. The course also addresses strategies for integrating physical and behavioral health and examines the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner’s (PMHNP) role in leadership, health promotion, ethical and legal decision-making, advocacy, interprofessional collaboration, and scope of practice across diverse clinical settings.
