OMED 8250 Medical Hot Topics Elective Clerkship
This 2-week elective addresses recent policy, legal, technological, and ethical developments in the health care system. Sessions will respond to current events, such as the decision in Braidwood v. Becerra, which struck down the Affordable Care Act’s preventive services requirement. Learners consider the impact and implications of current events for their future patients, practices, and profession. This elective is synchronous and combines readings, small group discussions, case studies, and learner presentations.
