INDR 8360 Applied Survey Methods and Questionnaire Design

This course is an advanced graduate course covering principles and practice of survey research (including mixed mode delivery). Areas of course emphasis include identifying and managing error (e.g. sampling, nonresponse, and measurement). Also covered is sampling (e.g. simple random sampling, stratified random sampling, systematic sampling, cluster sampling, and two-stage cluster sampling), principles and practice of developing survey objectives, item and scale development, questionnaire construction, introduction to validity and reliability, interviewing and focus groups, and relevant and appropriate data analysis.
