CIS 3353 Computer Systems Security

Students will explore the threats and vulnerabilities inherent in computer systems and identify methods of defending against these threats. Students will get hands-on experience with basic tools and techniques used to protect a network and communications assets from cyber threats. The course provides an overview of the concepts and common practices in the field of computer systems security, including business drivers, physical and software security, assessment, fraud, cyber terrorism, information warfare, social engineering and other related to computer network defense.
