CYBR 4325 Cyber Threats and Detection

The composition of this course will focus on immersing students into the realm of cyber threats and introduce various methods of detection. Students will analyze and assess the impact of system threats and malware, such as Social Hacking, Worms, Trojans, and Viruses. This course will also explore threats including Phishing, Botnet, Packet Spoofing, Denial of Service (DDoS), and Graphical User Interface (GUI) Intrusion tools. Students will exercise and develop fundamental and advance methods of detection and prevention through the use of antivirus software, endpoint security software, and Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS) for various systems and servers. The course will also explore the impact and limitations of these systems.
