PHIL 4350 Bioethics

This course is a philosophical exploration of the ethical issues relating to life in general and human life in particular, with special attention being paid to the ethics of health care. Topics may include the treatment of animals, stewardship of the environment, abortion, euthanasia, biotechnological enhancement, the justice of health care distribution, matters of professional ethics for health care professionals, and a variety of other bioethical issues.
