CYBR 4350 Cyber Crime Investigation and Forensics

This course is designed to synthesize the principles, tools, and techniques used in digital forensics and cyber-crime investigations. Discussion topics include computer forensics, network forensics, and mobile forensics. Other topics include the identification, collection, acquisition, authentication, preservation, examination, analysis, and presentation of technological and legal evidence for prosecution.  Students will gain experience with state-of-the-art forensics tools and techniques needed to successfully investigate illegal activities perpetrated through the use of information and communication technology.
