PSYC 109 Issues of Diversity in Developmental Psychology

Examines current issues of diversity from the perspective of theory and current empirical research in developmental psychology and related fields. Emphasis is on understanding children and families from increasingly diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, both rural and urban, by examining social, cultural, and psychological processes underlying their development.
