REN 120 Photovoltaic Design Fundamentals #

The study of photovoltaic solar energy design basics, photovoltaic (PV) cells, modules, and system components, electrical circuits, grid-tied/grid-interactive PV system design and sizing, solar electric products and applications, and understanding energy conversion from sunlight to electricity, and working with solar conversion equipment. Grid-Tied and Off-Grid systems, including back-up solar energy design and applications, battery-based system components, bimodal PV system design and sizing for use on off-grid homes or other off-grid applications.
