ENGL 193 Gender and Power in Literature

Introduces students to literature about gender and power, and places writings about gender in their appropriate cultural contexts. Includes many types of literature including novels, short stories, poems (including spoken word), plays, essays, and memoirs. Literary selections are supplemented with critical essays about gender and feminism in the contemporary United States.
