NU 731 ADV LEADERSHIP EPI & POP HEALTH
This course develops the student’s advanced understanding of epidemiology and population health within social, cultural, political, economic, and environmental contexts. Epidemiological factors associated with the distribution and determinants of health and disease in populations will be discussed. Emphasis is on epidemiologic investigation techniques and interpretation of epidemiologic, biostatistical, occupational, environmental, and system-level aggregate data to understand healthcare outcomes and trends. A systematic, multidisciplinary approach to clinical prevention and population health promotion is also reviewed.
