ED 554 Elementary Curriculum & Methods: Reading, Writing & Language Arts

A prerequisite to EDR 505 and 507. A study of methodology in the aspects of elementary reading and language arts instruction including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension within a workshop model. This course prepares the beginning teacher for classroom literacy instruction, and considers the content objectives from the state exam.
