MUS 10900 Introduction to Drumming

An introductory course focusing on the fundamentals of drumming. This hands-on drumming course offers group instruction for musicians and non-musicians, covering proper stick technique, rhythm exercises, sticking patterns, music notation, and performance practice. Deepen your understanding of rhythm, performing in a variety of traditional and contemporary styles including West African and Afro-Cuban Clave, Rudimental Snare Drumming, and Contemporary Backbeat.
