SPE 107 Fundamentals of Speech - Honors
The fundamental aim of this course is to teach students to speak clearly, effectively, substantively, and with purpose to a given audience. Each student will research, compose and deliver/participate in a variety of presentations including exposition, persuasion, small groups, and interviews. The course will also provide a glimpse into communication theory.
At semester’s end all students will synthesize the skills learned into a final speech performance delivered at a dinner before a new audience in a new environment. The students will view, analyze and evaluate their presentations.
