ASL 202 Intermediate American Sign Language II
ASL 202 is a sequence to Intermediate American Sign Language I and can be taken in conjunction with ASL 216. ASL 202 presents the opportunity to build more receptive and expressive conversational sign vocabulary, improve use of ASL grammar, phrases, sign space, facial expression and body language, and focus on classifiers, space relationships, and other vital storytelling/conversation components. The course is designed to develop further awareness and understanding of cultural protocols of deaf culture. Students will participate in independent/group projects, interactive activities and videotaping.
Prerequisite
ASL 201 or 3-4 years of high school ASL or permission of the Department Chair
