ESL 055 English for Speakers of Other Languages - Advanced I

This is an 11-credit equivalent course, which meets 11 hours per week. ESL 055 is an intensive course designed for students with limited language competency. The class is devoted to individually tailored learning activities and small group activities, which concentrate on the four basic language skills - speaking, listening, reading and writing. These skills are taught with the goal of giving students sufficient command of the language to move toward higher levels.
