Content Specializations
Students must complete at least 21 credit hours in the content area. The following courses are the approved courses for each content. Students should meet with their advisors to determine whether or not undergraduate coursework will meet these requirements. Additional coursework in the content area may be necessary.
I. Literacy Specialization
*Rockford University does not allow courses to transfer in for RHET 351. However, because this course is required for licensure, and not for MAT degree completion, Oral Communication courses will be considered to satisfy this course requirement, as long as the equivalent course meets the following State Content standards Part 21.140: b1F, c3A-O, c4A-E, c5F.
