2.7.7 University Supervisor Responsibilities and Load Credit for Student Teaching and Learning Disability Internship

Semester hour credit/payment to University Supervisor is structured as follows: Supervisors for elementary or secondary classroom placements receive .66 semester-hour of credit per student. Supervision of each student teacher and/or intern includes:

• Three observations (1 before midterm evaluation and 2 before final evaluation), each to include a written observation form
• One midterm evaluation and consensus form completed with cooperating teacher
• One final evaluation completed and consensus form with cooperating teacher

2.6.10 University Supervisor Load Credit and Responsibilities for ProfessionalStudies Clinical Experiences

Supervisors for the 30-hour clinical experience in EDU 3224 Classroom Teaching and Management receive .30 semester-hour of credit per student. Supervisors are required to make two observations and complete an observation form.

The supervisor of the clinical experience for RDG 4313 Reading for Content Knowledge is responsible for working with the site school’s building principal and learning consultant to plan, coordinate, and oversee ongoing tutoring sessions between RDG 4313 students and elementary-age students. The supervisor, working with the learning consultant, must secure written permission from parents of elementary students who participate in the reading clinic. The supervisor pre-approves the lesson plans of RDG 4313 tutors is present at the site school to monitor the tutoring sessions. The course meets for two hours with a one hour on-site clinical.

Supervisors of the 60-hour clinical experience for EDU 4583/4683 Educational Foundations and Assessment receive .30 semester hours of credit per student. Supervisors are required to make two observations and complete two observation forms.
