Academic Cabinet

The Academic Cabinet is a decision-making and strategic-planning body composed of curricular and co-curricular campus leaders. Members include:

  • Provost (who chairs the committee)
  • Any vice provosts
  • One representative from the Faculty Senate officers
  • Deans of each academic school
  • One graduate program director
  • Dean of Students

The Academic Cabinet meets monthly and reviews new program proposals, which come from the Curriculum Committee, and academic policy recommendations, which generally come from the Office of the Registrar. The Academic Cabinet also reviews information presented by the Assessment Committee and uses it for strategic planning and also votes on the sanction of dismissal from the university resulting from academic integrity violations.
