MSN632 Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Practicum

The role of the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is operationalized in this clinical course. The course is designed to meet the needs of the individual learner with regard to clinical experiences. The faculty works with the learner to develop goals and learning experiences relevant to the direct care and educational settings. Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) must possess advanced clinical knowledge to operationalize complex clinical content effectively. Students engage in reflective analyses of APRNs. Because today's complex health care and increase patient acuity necessitates a continuing call for highly-skilled nurses at the patient point of care, APRN students are expected to advance their clinical knowledge in a selected specialty to prepare them to fulfill the roles of the Advanced Practice Nurse.
