EDPS213 Educational Psychology

This course is designed to introduce psychological concepts, principles, learning theories and methodologies related to the learner and the learning process. Students will develop an understanding of adolescent and adult development and motivation and will apply basic psychology concepts to produce effective instructional strategies for a variety of learning environments, focusing on the core principles and theories of learning. Students will explore and use the cognitive, behavioral and developmental factors that take place during learning, and discover how learning environments influence learning outcomes. Emphasis is placed on principles of learning and cognition, instructional methods and classroom management, and evaluation and assessment of learning.
