BSA201 Social Issues in Sports

This course is designed to provide students with a way of understanding the historical, social and cultural impact of sports by conceptualizing sports as a microcosm of society. Students will explore how sports, throughout the ages, have played a role in shaping cultural values and how different cultures interact with and affect one another through sports in relation to politics, social class, race, religion, gender, ethnicity and economics.
