Secondary Education offers Master’s degrees and recommendation for Georgia certification, grades 6 – 12, in the following fields: English, History, Mathematics, and Broadfield Science. The objective of all programs is to encourage and equip teachers to be reflective, scholarly practitioners who are proactive in improving schooling in their communities. Each program combines solid grounding in pedagogy with instructional practices and content knowledge.
Although secondary education programs lead to certification in grades 6-12, many school systems prefer applicants for middle grade teaching positions to have completed a program leading specifically to middle grades certification. Refer to for guidelines for middle grades certification programs
