HIM 1012 Legal Aspects of Health Information Technology
This course is an introductory look into the legal aspects associated with the medical industry. The student will encounter the legal system in the United States, tort law, HIPAA rules, security threats, access to information, release of information, disclosure laws, risk management and quality improvement, and workplace law.
