Residency for Tuition Purposes
Students will be classified as either residents or nonresidents for the purpose of assessing tuition in public colleges and universities. Determination of residency is made based on information the applicant provides on the Residency Affidavit, which is part of the Admission Application, and copies of materials submitted to the Admissions and Student Records office. These materials must be two of the documents listed on the Residency Guidelines and at least 12 months old as of the first day they plan on starting class.
Application to change Florida residence status must be made to the Admissions and Student Records office on any campus. If application of Florida residency for tuition purposes, including all supporting materials, is made after the last day of drop/add registration in any term, it will not become effective until the following term. A new Residency Affidavit and supporting materials must be filed with any application for readmission. If a student was previously coded as an out-of-state student and now has supporting materials to prove their Florida residency, the student will now need to provide three documents in order to classify.
For the purpose of assessing tuition, the College adheres to Florida Statute 1009.21.

Students enrolled in college-credit courses who have completed 30 or more credit hours of college-level work. |

Students enrolled in college-credit courses who have completed 60 or more credit hours of college-level work. |
| Senior |
Students enrolled in college-credit courses who have completed 90 or more credit hours of college-level work. |
| Unclassified |
Students who have enrolled but have not declared a program such as dual enrollment or transient students and those who seek teacher recertification or personal enrichment. |

Full-time study: Students registered for 12 or more credit hours in a fall, spring or summer term. |
