BIO 310 Museum Science
Introduction to the principles and practice of museology and the functioning of a research natural history museum. Emphasis will be on the development of the "museum conscience" and attendant curatorial skills through extensive training as a curatorial assistant in the bird mammal and fish collections of the Moore Laboratory of Zoology (world's largest collections of Mexican birds and Southern California Rocky Reef Fishes).
Prerequisite
Permission of instructor. May be repeated for credit.
