Using an evolutionary framework, this course is a survey of the major taxonomic divisions and hierarchical organization of living systems on the planet. This course emphasizes eukaryotic organisms as it illustrates the similarities and differences in living forms through descriptions of their anatomy, physiology, ecology, reproduction, and development.
