II. Scope/Jurisdiction/Application
This policy applies to allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation that take place on NCC property or at College sponsored events, regardless of their location. This policy may also apply to allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation that occur off-campus or to actions online when the Title IX Coordinator or Deputy Coordinator determines that the off‐campus or online conduct could have an on-campus impact or impact on the educational mission of the College.
Such impact includes:
- Any action that constitutes a criminal offense as defined by federal, state, or local law;
- Any situation where it appears that the Responding Party may present a danger or threat to the health or safety of self or others;
- Any situation that significantly impinges upon the rights, property, or achievements of others or significantly breaches the peace and/or causes social disorder; and/or
- Any situation that is detrimental to the educational interests of the College.
