HEA116 Pharmacy Technician: Online


Prepares prospective healthcare technicians to enter the pharmacy field and take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board?s PTCB exam. Content includes pharmacy medical terminology, pharmacy calculations, reading and interpreting prescriptions, defining generic and brand names drugs and much, much more! Includes optional clinical externship through a local pharmacy. To be eligible for the optional clinical externship, you must successfully complete the 50 hour program, submit to a thorough background check (CORI), drug screening and meet other requirements. Upon successful completion, students are prepared to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), Certified Pharmacy Technician Exam (CPhT). For exam information visit www.ptcb.org.
