Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to receive financial aid, a student must meet the following requirements:

  • Complete a FAFSA by the priority deadline (May 1st for Fall and November 1st for Spring) and any additional documents requested by Student Financial Services (SFS).

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.

  • Cannot be in default on a Federal Education Loan or owe a refund on a Federal Grant.

  • Be enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program at North Shore Community College (NSCC).

  • Be registered with Selective Service (if required).

  • Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.

  • Make satisfactory academic progress to remain eligible for financial aid by meeting the requirements of the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.
