MET214 Industrial Safety & Regulatory Requirements

This course presents an indroduction to the principles of safely and safety management in a modern manufacturing environment. The course introduces the concept of safety as a shared responsibility and of all employees, at all levels, and in all functions of the organization. This course presents an overview of the history of industrial safety programs and regulations, describes current programs and regulatory compliance, and examines the elements of an effective safety program. Topics will be reinforced through industry examples, case studies, and team-based problem solving activities.
