IEL218 Digital Electronics 2
This course is designed to train students in the organization, architecture, and hardware aspects of digital computer systems. Topics include an introduction to microprocessors, types and characteristics of different chips, motherboards, bus structures, memory, I/O interfaces, disk drives, video displays, and printers. Serial and parallel buses are discussed. Applications include interfacing of peripherals, data communications between computers, and a team project.
