ANS144 Large Animal and Equine Care
This course provides an introduction to the care and management of large domestic animals. Herd health as applied to dairy and beef cattle, horses, sheep, and swine will be discussed as well as the common diseases that affect these animals. Nutrition and feeding is included as it applies to the rearing of healthy animals. (2 hours of lecture per week). Fulfills open and animal science electives.
