SOC112 The Family
Reviews the history, structure, and function of the family in various cultures with primary emphasis on the family in Western culture. Special consideration is given to the changing patterns of mate selection, the marriage contract, and alternative family structures, parenthood, and divorce. Fulfills open, liberal arts and social science electives.
