MTH 0315 Developing Mathematical Thinking

3lec/1lab (3NDCR.) A course designed to develop skills, including reading and thinking, and the understanding needed for non-math, non-science majors who take MATH 1332 and MATH 1342.  Topics include (but are not limited to): problem solving, set theory, logic, personal finance, probability, and statistics.  This course is not for college level credit.  Students on an algebraic track which requires one or more of the following courses: MATH 1314, MATH 1316, MATH 1324, MATH 1325, MATH 1350, MATH 1351, MATH 2318, MATH 2320, MATH 2412, MATH 2413, MATH 2414, or MATH 2415 should not take this course, but instead should take MTH 0305.

Prerequisites: MTH 0302, or requisite score on the TSI or equivalent exam.
