PSY 672 Practicum

(1 to 3 hrs.) Placement in a clinical setting that involves application of skills in diagnosis, assessment, and/or psychological interventions. Practicum trainees will be engaged in a combination of shadowing licensed professionals, serving as co-therapist, and potentially providing some independent direct client care. Three credit hours of Practicum are required for the program, usually taken in the summer of the first year. Three credit hours will require 200 onsite hours, with a minimum of 35% direct client contact. The course may be repeated for an additional three credit hours with faculty approval.
