MATH 360 Tensors/Differential Geometry

(3-0-3) This course is designed as a bridge between vector calculus and differential geometry. Topics include curves and surfaces, extrinsic curvature, manifolds, tensors, exterior algebra, metrics, covariant derivatives, connections, intrinsic curvature, and the Riemann tensor. Additional topics include the Euler characteristic, Lie groups, electromagnetism, and general relativity as time allows.
