ECON 423 Global Economic History

This course explores the emergence of a global economy and the causes of global disparities in wealth. Intensive readings and discussion examine the economic rise of the West from circa 1500, the development of the petroleum industry in the twnetieth century and aspects of the contemporary economic era. Pre-Reqs: HIST 102 or 104 or instructor consent.
