Nutrition (minor only)
Introduction
Nutrition is an interdisciplinary field that correlates the biological processes of food intake (the biochemical and physiological use and need) with the cultural, psychological and emotional decisions that drive food choices. Students that study nutrition are left with an understanding of these biochemical, physiological, and psychological choices that drive food choices, and how they impact human health and happiness. Students that study nutrition typically pursue a career in science, psychology, sociology, or sports studies. In addition, they may decide to pursue a professional degree such as registered dietician (RD) or nutritionist.
