The Department of World Languages and Literatures offers two introductory courses in Modern Standard Arabic. The courses, ARB 1001, Introduction to Arabic I, and ARB 1002, Introduction to Arabic II, are  4-credit classes that meet three days a week. In the courses, students learn modern standard Arabic language and are introduced to the cultures of the Arabic-speaking world.
